Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining your forum as I'm from so far away. We adopted our first greyhound, Mo, in October 2006 and became besotted with the breed, we then got Eric (Mo's half brother) in February 2007 and finally we adopted Chloe in December 2007. We have made so many friends since becoming greyhound parents and regularly meet up for greyhound walks, so far the most there have been is 76 dogs at one walk! I am so proud of my dogs and love them all to bits.
Hope you like my photo, Chloe is on the left, Mo in the middle and Eric on the right. _________________ If you can see the floor, there's room for more! |

Hello and welcome.
We are glad to have you post here.
Let us know what greyhound life in London is like.
We are headed to London for the New Years parade Jan 1/09
My son is marching with the HS Band in the parade.
Maybe we will see you there !! Any plans for the Hounds to march in the parade? _________________ Debbie, mom to Reggie, Tim Tam, Chloe Isabeau, Jessie James and Jossie. (2 legged kids Cody and Kelly) Hubby Ron |

Welcome to the forum! You have beautiful dogs! I know what you mean about being "besotted" with the breed. That happens to a lot of us. I've had other breeds in my life, but now all I can see are Greyhounds! They are so special, it's hard to remember what it was like before I got mine. |

Thank you all for the great welcome, it seems that greyhound people are the same the world over!
Debbie... I actually live about an hour from London and, although my husband works there, I very rarely go. It's way too busy for my liking, I'd rather be walking round the woods with my hounds! Hope you enjoy yourself when you come over and it doesn't rain for the parade. I like the idea of greyhounds parading through London though, I might even venture up for that, what a sight that would be!
Maggie's Mom... I know what you mean about being stopped by people when out with the hounds. I never pass up the chance to tell people how wonderful greyhounds are, it's all I ever seem to talk about now!! _________________ If you can see the floor, there's room for more! |

I have a friend that just moved back to England with her 2 greyhounds after being here on a work visa for 3 years. Hilary took home with her Spanky, a beautiful big white boy, and Miller, a Klingon looking silly blue boy. She lives further north I think, about 2 hours out. GOD I really mss her, she was like a daughter to me. _________________ Shirley Segal mom to Katie [13] and Lovey [4].
