Well it's happened... The news is in on my progress 10 months post-accident. (For those who don't know: Last April, I was in a near fatal motorcycle accident, which resulted in most of my leg having to be rebuilt.) It was already known that the plate in my lower leg would have to be removed because it rubs my ankle's ligaments and tendons plus aggrevates the nerves. The Dr's want to give the tibia 1 full year to heal 1st. Now, they have found the bones in my thigh are not binding and this has resulted in a race to get it resolved before the plate snaps. Monday, 2/25, I have to go in for a bone graph, biopsy, and reworking of the hardware. Just shows how a unexpected moment can change a life. Now that I've gotten long winded...

My two puppers are going to Heather's greyt resort for the first week. I would like very much to bring them home before I'm totally weight bearing, but will need help walking them. Unfortunately, I live alone and haven't been in this area long enough to get to know many people. Is there anyone close to the Gastonia area who might be able to help? All help deeply appreciated!!!!!!!

I live too far away, Western NC, to help with the Grey walking (which I'd love to do!). But I'll keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

In a flash your whole life can change. My brothers ex-wife was in a motorcycle accident about 2 years ago and she has been in a coma since. So hug your hounds and your family often.

Elizabeth, did you find someone in your area? Rick said something about talking to you at playgroup.

yes we never know what two minutes from now may bring us, i have learned that from working with race cars, riding motorcycels amd with the new carre i will be starting as a police officer i will learn even more, i not working very much right now so i have some time in the daytime and weekends im a little ways a way but never to far awy to help. if i can be any help to you i would be more than happy to come down and help get the pups outside and walking. feel free to cantact me.
