I have a couple of gassy Greyhounds !!! Ya might know it would be the girls. Short of changing their food, is there an OTC medication that I can use like GasX or something that's safe to use on them ?
It's so bad I can't stay in the same room with them and that's right where they want to be, poor babies.

i should bring alex over for a visit they would be perfect together, he's so bad sometimes even he gets up and move and at least once i have seen dash move.

I had a friend with a gassy boston terrier, she used to give him Beano. I don't know how safe it is for Greys, you might want to ask the vet. It worked for hie though...

You can try yogurt.

Tara has been gassy in the past. Sometimes they would be so noisy that she'd wake up from a dead sleep and look at me like "I" did it!!

I've given her a beano now and then when it was unbearable...

My hounds do have spells where they have some gas but they are not very gassy hounds. When Flame first came to me he had gass for about 4 months before he got over it. The gas is why I don't feed pig ears.

Ah yea, Diesel had one of those very gassy spells yesterday, sound effects and everything. He almost gassed me out of the room!
Maybe it's from eating dirt, once we got rain and the ground got muddy he's been eating dirt.

I have read on GreyTalk about using GasX for greyhounds. Add an enzyme to their food and that will help them digest better. We use Prozyme from EntirelyPets.com

And as a holistic approach you can use Fennel Seed tea. I keep a bottle in the fridge. This was used in olden days for babies that are colicky. Take a tblspoon fennel seed and ground. I use a coffee grinders. Then steep in 8oz boiling water until cool. Drain and keep in fridge. I give a tblsp or so when mine get gassy. They like it so much the drink it out of a bowl.

Thanks for the info. They get yogurt at each feeding so that base is covered but I forgot about putting Prozyme in their food, I'll try that next. sooner or later I'll get it figured out. Thanks again for the help.
