Cricket goes to her new forever home.......... Smile

Earlier this morning, Ron and Jean Rouleau of Pittsboro, along with Opie, Rose and Jingo came to meet Cricket here in Fuquay-Varina. Tails wagged and a lot of introductory sniffing was conducted and the gathering went as hoped and expected. Cricket left for her new and forever home. She is progressing really well. The difficulty of separation from Cricket is eased by the fact we will see her and the Rouleau family on a regular basis at Panera's in Apex on Sunday mornings with other members of TGS. While we all know the
need for care and protection of greyhounds will always be there..........
this is one very special Christmas for the Rouleaus, the Griffins and
especially Cricket.

Merry Christmas to all

Dan Griffin

Cricket couldn't have gone to a better home. The Rouleau's are know for taking in seniors to live out the last years of their lives. Thank you Jean and Ron for taking in yet another. There will be a special place for you in heaven.

Hi Everyone,
Cricket really is a little sweetheart. Thanks to Dan and Barbara she's made wonderful progress in just a week! We met her last Wednesday so we wouldn't be complete strangers when we brought her home on Saturday. Wednesday night Dan said she had already improved but she looked like a pathetic mess to us! Already her thighs are plumper and her ribs are less visible. And she's getting a little spring in her step!

Our "pack" is coming together nicely. Opie and Rose have accepted her without any problems. Even Jingo (who has a large "personal safety zone") has been very tolerant.

It always hurts like heck to say goodbye to our seniors (Woody, Callie, Beauty and lately, Mystery) and no one can replace them, but it is so much fun to welcome another one home to love and spoil and enjoy as long as possible!!!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
