SPECIAL CHRISTMAS GREYHOUND AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND NEW FOREVER HOME
Monday night Christina Newsome of Triangle Greyhound Society and I rescued Cricket from an awful environment, the details of which are better left unsaid.

Fortunately for Cricket, Christina acted swiftly and decisively and a terribly undernourished Cricket is now being fostered at my home here in Fuquay-Varina with my other four greys.

Cricket’s nails were so long she hobbled with a limp and had extreme difficulty standing and had to be carried in and out of the minivan.
The first thing this morning Cricket and I went to Town and Country Vets in Apex. Dr. Ashford and the staff took immediate and caring action. Now after getting her nails cut back dramatically, a thorough examination and a medicated bath, a CBC panel, and a full series of shots, I witnessed a complete transformation in Cricket. Her eyes are bright, the limp is gone and she greeted me with a wagging tail.
Her only remaining challenge is her weight. Her last vet exam was back in June 2003

and her weight then was 69 lbs. Christina and I both feel her proper weight should be between 62 – 65 lbs. This morning Cricket weighed 52 lbs. She is now getting fed a normal diet on an accelerated basis.
Cricket we believe is 12 years old and cat friendly, a beautiful reddish fawn sweetheart who needs to find her last forever home, please contact Christina or me and perhaps give Cricket her best Christmas ever.
