Rick and I went to Gatlinburg this week to meet with people about Mountain Hounds and it snowed. Gatlinburg got 9 to 12 inches depending on where you were. Here are some pictures taken Wed afternoon. By Friday it was almost completely gone.

Smokey didn't care for having his feet cold and wet.

Here is the bridge to Mynatt Park.

And the pretty creek that runs past the hotel.

Local kids had a greyt time sledding down the hill at the park.

Here is the front of the hotel. The picture was taken across the street from the courtside bldg. I thought I took a picture of courtside but it didn't download if I did.

Here is a picture from courtside up to the entrance to Mynatt Park. Not a long walk at all. Across the street and across the bridge.

Here is a picture of the courtside room we had this week. Typical two bed, fridge, bathroom hotel room.

And here is Jasmine resting up after her romp in the snow.

Notice in the last photo that the hotel bedspread is no longer on the bed. For Mountain Hounds the staff will remove the bedspreads so remember to bring your dogs favorite blanket to cover the bed. Or ask the hotel for a second sheet to go over the bed.

We had a nice COLD time in Gatlinburg. I am glad the event is not in February because I don't do well in cold. Like Charlotte a lot of the city was shut down on Wednesday. But by Thursday as you can see from the pictures the snow was almost gone.

We are so excited about Mountain Hounds. Only 3 mos away!!!!

Oh, beautiful snow pictures. But I agree with Smokey, I prefer to be warm and cozy.

Great pics --reminds me of home (upstate NY!) Although I have no longing to really be back there at this time of year! cold

Thanks for posting these pictures. The park looks a lot different in the Feb. snow. I love the park, it is my favorite place at MH. I love that mountain stream that runs through the park. For all you first timers, the dogs love to take a dip in that stream.......in June. Laughing

looks like fun was had by all. But I don't see any photos of Maggie enjoying the snow. Can't wait for MH.

Smokey sounds like Jerry - he doesn't like having his feet cold
and wet either Laughing

Typical Pittsburgh weather here - It was 67 on Monday and tomorrow
we are getting 5 inches of snow.

Can't wait to visit the Mountains again...............snow or no snow
