Thanks Holly. We've been doing better since on the pain meds. She's barely limping so, hopefully that will last a while. I've also started her on Arteimisinin and I hope that helps too.

I want to try to adopt another before Tara leaves us. I can't bare to be alone....I know I will go crazy!

Tara's health is starting to decline. Her tumor is visible on her shoulder and about the size a racquetball. Three weeks ago when I got the DX and saw her x-rays, the tumor was very small and not even visible when looking at her. I've also noticed that she has slowed down quite a bit and her good days vs bad days are starting to even out on a 1 to 1 basis...one good day, one bad day.

On the bright side, her appetite remains very healthy and she is getting all the treats she could ever want. I love on her sooo much.

Hugs and prayers are with you from all of us here. We agree with you that we rally wish there was a way to suck that nasty stuff out. Savannah, Ritter and I send many hugs your and Tara's way.

I've spent the last two Saturdays out at GFNC doing volunteer work and last week I was able to take Tara...it was a long day for her but, she had a good time. Unfortunately, her tumor has grown larger and it is impairing her ability to walk even more so. I decided that this week, I would leave her home because it would probably be too much for her to spend the day out walking and at the kennel. I was counting the months left but, now it seems that I am counting the weeks. Her appetite has slowed and she still eats but, needs a little coaxing.

All I can do at this point is just love on her and enjoy the time we have together.

The 'hounds and humans at our house wish you and Tara Sue peace and comfort as you go through this difficult tme.

Update 02/24:

Tara will be crossing over on 02/28th at 5pm. I have a day planned for both of us.

We are going to go have breakfast at Chik-fil-a and then I am going to take her to get some Cold Stone Creamery ice cream.

My heart breaks as the day nears...and even though I have my new boy Will, the house will not be the same with out her and that silly cock-eyed grin of hers!

My heart breaks for what you and your beloved Tarasue are going through now. Nothing I can say will make it any easier for you. Just know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope sweet Will can help to ease the difficult times ahead for you. I know he will try.
