Hope for Hounds is an organization that is very near and dear to my heart. I see so many hounds lose their battle to osteosarcoma and I BELIEVE that one day there will be a cure.
Last year we had 3 special collar designs with a $6 donation for each collar sold. We wanted to do something even MORE special this year, so for 2008, we teamed up with artist Xan Blackburn (www.xans-art.com) to create a special ribbon design that will be used exclusively for Hope for Hounds and is available only through 2 Hounds Design.
Xan and I worked together to create this jacquard ribbon design and I had it made by the same company that makes the LFN ribbons that I love to use so much, so the quality is amazing! (and oh the yardage I had to order, yikes!)
Funny story about the company that made this ribbon - they actually found ME and they are here in Charlotte! We already had the ribbon designed and I was just getting ready to submit the design to another company I had found when I got this phone call out of the blue from a ribbon manufacturer. One of the owners of this company had seen one of my collars on a hound at Starbucks and his company had manufactured the ribbon on the collar so he recognized it! (it was an LFN ribbon) He got my information from the hound's owner and called to see if I had ever thought about doing custom ribbon....and well, as a matter of fact, I was just getting ready to submit a design to the other company. :lol It is funny how the universe just drops things like that in your lap.
So we were lucky to get to work with such an incredible company - and TRUST ME, now that I know how easy it is, you will be seeing a LOT more custom ribbon from 2HD!
But anyway, back to the matter at hand...we have collars, leashes, headbands, and key fobs available in this exclusive collection with a donation going to HFH for each item sold.
But wait, there's more! (seen many infomercials, Alisha?) From now through March 31st, 2008, we are DOUBLING the donation to HFH. That means until the end of March, the donations are: Collar - $10, Leash - $6, Headband - $5, and Keyfob - $3. This will also apply to items sold at Sandy Paws! (and yes, I will be bringing as many as I can get made to Sandy Paws)

We will see Dr. Couto at Sandy Paws and we already have a pretty check to present to him. I would love to make it even LARGER with many more HUGE checks to present to him for all of 2008.
