Odie ran up the front steps into the house and hit his leg. He was limping at first but now he seems to be fine. He didn't yelp or whine any. He has a scrape on his leg but it isn't bleeding. He is sleeping now (3 minutes after it happened) so it doesn't seem to bother him. I don't know if I should take him to the vet or just see how he does?

Sounds like just a little boo-boo. These guys get them easily because of their parchment thin skin. If he's not bleeding or anything, I'd simply put some Neosprorin and maybe a bandaid (to keep him from licking - this dogs will lick...) on it.

BTW: Looks like he had fun at the playgroup! This is familiar territory so often even insecure dogs really come out there. This is a very social breed, and they just shine when with the other dogs.

Just keep an eye on him....if he was asleep three minutes after it happened then it was probably no big deal!

yes, he seems to be fine but i was so scared it was something serious when he was limping. i guess it was the initial shock of getting hurt. he is ok now. phew!!!!
