I must say- Maddie and I had a talk this weekend (as I was registering at the SidneyJames for our room) I told her that she needed to be on her BESTEST behavior and not to chew on the door (don't worry guys she will be muzzled this time I learned my lesson) and that we are going to particpate in games again. and the Mountain Hustle. She is in training for the bobbing for whatever she will be bobbing for (Charlie bears, hotdogs orjust any treat in general) and will be doing the fashion fiasco again with her Momma.
We are very excited again this year and hope that I don't get eaten again by the bugs - must bring more bug spray. Mads will probably be using Momma's credit card again- though her spending imit is lower this year as the furance was just replaced last week -
-Last year was our first and we had a blast and met a ton of new people from all over. Hope to see some old and new faces again this year, and get to some new places in Gatlinburg. _________________ Amy

I am looking forward to the games. I have never done the bobbing for what ever because none of my hounds would bob. If it is floating on the top Sheana will get it, but it has to be floating. Well guess what I have discovered recently!! GINNY will bob for just about anything!! I am really trying my best to be able to get off work for this event... we really really really want to go!!!! Is this event something that my 7 year old could attend? She is a VERY well behaved child. _________________ Traci

Only if You're willing to take Her out of school. This event is in the first week of June and school is still in session.

I suppose the same could be said about Beach Bound hounds which is held the third week in Sept. I think people are more willing to pull their kids out of school at the beginning of the school year than at the end during EOG testing.

not really much to miss in school when you are only in the 1st grade
EOGs don't really start until the 3rd grade. _________________ Traci

I just got the OK from my husband... Now, I just got to work on the boss. Hopefully, there is a hotel room still left on the 1st floor. Odie does NOT do stairs! _________________ Traci

OK- Now Maddie is REALLY excited for Mountain Hounds. I came home last night after a volunteer Mountain Hounds meeting and whispered in her greyhound ear all the fun things that she was going to be doing. She looked at me with her big brown eyes and her tail going full speed and smiled. She is sooo excited at all the stuff that we have planned for the houndies and their people. She can't wait to go and see all the buddies she meet last year and the new buddies that she plans on meeting this year.
I think she is more excited then she was on Saturday when she went lure racing and played "whack a mole" in her x pen" _________________ Amy
