Thursday May 29th
12pm – 2:00 pm -- Craft Event (bring bed for dog to relax)
Hotel Conference room
Come and show your creative side. We will be making signs for your hotel door and decorating door hangers. Bring pictures of your greyhounds and other family members to use for your sign. We will provide cardstock, accessories and magnets to hang your sign on your hotel door.
3–8:00 pm -- Event Check- In

Buy raffle tickets, t-shirts and other items
A Message Center will be located in the lobby of the hotel. If you need to leave a message or pick up a message.

Join us during this timeframe for a wonderful meal. Lineberger’s has reserved their upstairs dining area for our group (human’s only). Located at 903 Parkway in the heart of Gatlinburg. From the hotel exit to the left and go to the bottom of Historic Parkway to Traffic Light #8. Turn left and the entrance to Lineberger’s is on your right. There is parking behind the restaurant but it is limited, carpool if you can. You can also take the Trolley. It is not too far to walk if you are inclined.
Friday May 30th
All Day – Photos, photos, photos
Vicki Morgan is available all day for family photos of you and/or your pets. Vicki will be through out the park and hotel area for pictures.
6:30 am -- Morning Walk
Morning Walk from the grassy area beside the Maple Cottage cabin up to and around Mynatt Park. Just a leisurely morning stretch for humans and hounds.
9:30 –11:00 am -- Event Check-in

Event check-in for anyone who arrives on Friday.
Check in at the Greyhound Friends table on Friday. Volunteers will be a wearing lime colored Volunteer name tag.

Also lots of greyhound games. Back by poplar demand – Bobbin’ for Treats
A list of games and times will be in your Welcome Bag and posted on the ball field fence.
10:00 – 11:00 pm -- Memory Stone

You can also make a Memory Stone using items provided. There will be a fee to cover expenses for the memory stone.
11:30 pm -- Group Photo

Look for the orange flags to designate the area.
If you would like to have your adoption group picture taken, Vickie can do these after the Group picture. Bring your group sign to for your adoption group picture.
12:00 – 1:00 pm -- Lunch

Pre-ordered box lunches from Gatlinburg Farms including drinks and dessert. Please have your lunch ticket with you. Your ticket is located in your name badge for safekeeping.
1:30 – 2:30 pm – Seminar (bring bed for dog to relax)

Houndstooth will be holding a short seminar on the process she uses for non-anesthetic dental cleanings and will answer questions. You will be able to sign up to use her service but it is suggested you signup prior to the event.
2:30 – 4:00 pm – Seminar (bring bed for dog to relax)
Creating Harmony with our Animals – presented by Jean Ussery-Animal Conversations, Susan King-Companion Chi and Cathy Lloyd-A Unique Approach. This trio will show us how to support our greyhound’s physical and emotional well being by using different methods of communication, massage and flower essence. They will be available Friday and Saturday at the park as well.
4:30 – 5:30 pm -- Remembering our lost Pets
Mynatt Park – Pavilion
Rev. Susan Scott-Downs will facilitate a candle lighting service to remember the dogs we have lost. The service will be held at Mynatt Park. If you have a picture, please bring for the table. If you would like to say a few words about your loved ones you are welcome to participate.
5:30 – 7:30 pm -- Free time for dinner
Pet friendly establishments are listed in the Event Booklet. Please call to verify closing times. Some close by 4pm.
7:30 pm -- Costume Contest

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and for Best Group!!!
7:30 – 8:30 pm – Blessing of the Hounds
Rev Susan Scott-Downs will be available to say a blessing with you and your hound. Rev Susan is very intuitive with the animals and sometimes they have something to say they want her to pass on to their owner. We will have two sessions with Rev. Susan. The second session will be Saturday night during the Biscuit Bark & Roo.
8:30 pm -- Drawing for Friday Door Prize
Mynatt Park Pavilion (Prize will be delivered after Charity Walk.)
You will have one last chance to buy tickets for the Friday Door Prize.

We will have Van Pickup at The Village Shops exit on Orchard Road.
Don't forget to bring the Klwyn's ice cream coupon from your Welcome Bag and enjoy ice cream before riding back to the hotel.
Saturday May 31st

This area will only be open to vendors during this time. Please allow them time to setup properly without interruptions.
Vendors – tables will be marked with your name. If you did not get your registration pack at Event Check-in please see a volunteer at the GFNC vending table.
8:00 –9:00 am – Mountain Hounds Hustle

At 1:30pm on the basketball court we will have a hoola-hoop contest. Do you have the moves to win? (For humans of course)

The Bag Raffle is back by popular demand. Get your tickets and pick your prize. Drawing for winners will be held at the Biscuit Bark & Roo Saturday evening. You must be present to win the raffle.

The Gatlinburg Rotary Club will be serving lunch at the park. We do have a few last minute tickets available. See a volunteer at the GFNC table to purchase.
3:00 pm -- Walk in the Woods
Meet at the Happy Hiker (turn right at Traffic Light 10.)
Pooch and Pal Trek guided by a Walk In The Woods guide. One hour walk designated as ‘Easy’ takes you along a lovely riverbank where the dogs can cool their feet. This event has been a favorite every year!

Have you ever wondered about your greyhound’s life before retirement? Through a slide presentation Dennis and Claire Tyler from Greyhound Pets of America/Central Florida Chapter will tell us about the life a greyhound before the greyhound moved in and took over your sofa

Join us for a good-bye social. We will enjoy refreshments and treats for the dogs. Come say goodbye to friends you know and those you just met. During this social time we will have the following events;
-Blessing of the Animals from 8-9pm. If your greyhound did not get to speak with Rev. Susan they have one more chance.
-Senior Recognition to honor the seniors 10 yrs and older. Seniors do not have to be present to be recognized and to receive a small token. However the oldest male & female must be present at the social to be honored.
-Drawing for the Saturday Door Prize
-Frosty Paws for the dogs and goodies for the humans.
-Bag Raffle Prize winners will be announced
Sunday June 1st

12:00 pm -- Visit to Arts & Crafts section

For all those staying through Sunday join us for a trip to the Craft/Art section of Gatlinburg. The 8 mi Arts & Crafts Loop has numerous crafters. Dogs are not allowed in the stores but we should have enough people to hold dogs as we trade off shopping.
In your Welcome bag is a map of the craft loop. Check out the stores and if there are ones you would like to visit make note and we will make sure we stop. We will visit Smokey Mountain Pottery again this year. They have been a good sponsor for Mountain Hounds providing us with the pottery items that GFNC sells at the event.
There are two outdoor cafes for lunch that will allow dogs at the picnic tables. Morning Mist and the WindzWalker Café. We will eat lunch first and then shop.

Howard’s Restaurant
Howard’s is located between traffic light 9 & 10 across the street from The Hampton Inn.
If you would like to join the group for dinner, meet in the Courtside parking lot and we will car pool as much as possible. There is a Howard’s menu in your Welcome bag. They serve everything from soups and salads to hamburgers and steaks. Come hungry, their 8 oz hamburger is really BIG.
If you are bringing a dog(s) please bring a blanket for them to lie on. Water will be provided.
