For the newbies in the group the Welcome Waggin' is a way to keep in touch with new greyhound owners and assist with any issues or questions they have. Volunteers for the Welcome Waggin' are used to do home visits prior to an adoption going through and then to be there as a contact once the greyhound comes home. Kinda like a big brother or big sister.

This personal contact is a way to make the home transistion easier for both owner and greyhound and to reduce returns because of a simple issue that just became too big. And it is a way to grow our volunteer base.
