We have had a request for Pet Therapy at Camp Lejeune. Is there anyone that lives in the Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune area that does pet therapy or that would be interested in getting involved with this project? It sounds like a great idea. I hope that we will be able to help them out with this.
Please let me know if you can help.

Subject: pet therapy
I am a nurse on an inpatient psych unit at Camp Lejeune. We take care
of a large number of military members that are suffering from depression
or PTSD. I think that pet therapy would be a welcome addition to our
classes for these men and women that are away from their families and
friends. Do you offer visits to this area, or know of a company that
does? I would like to develop a protocol that would allow us to
possibly use local pets to do this for us, but I have no idea where to
start. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ducky's grey Gracie is a therapy dog. I will make sure she sees this. She lives in Jacksonville, her husband is a retired Marine and she does a lot in that area.

Thanks to you Ducky
I knew someone there would do it.
It's a long drive for us to do pet therapy there.
