Smile Hi All,
I have been semi retired for about two years and would like to supplement my income. I only work weekday mornings and would love to provide an option for anyone that needs a home away from home for their grey.I have two of my own,Ray who is 10yrs old and Rohna who is 4 yrs old. I have a large fenced in yard and live on the same road as the GFNC kennel. I would like your grey to be crateable and it would be easier if they were cat safe.
I have volunteered at GFNC for 6yrs and I'm a member of the GFNC Board of Directors.
I know it's the time for vacations and I am available to look after your babies. I'm sure Ray and Rohna would love to have some new friends to play with. Wink

Hi Bonnie i just read yuor post. I actually just came back from vacation. I've been in Montana for a week. I boarded "Pandy" at Best Friends Bed and Biscuit while I was gone. She seemed to be fine but I hated to have to put her at a boarding kennel. Anyway i'm adopting my second this Saturday. "Trooper" will be a new addition to the family. I have vacation planned in November and will have to board both of them. Can you tell me some specifics. Like price? You can send me a private message or you can email me at

Just wanted to say that Bonnie got me out of a fix at the last minute, and I think Cash had a great time. I walked in and found him on a bed with a stuffy squeeking away. Then...low and behold, a cat walked right by and Cash barely noticed...so as a side benefit, I find out that Cash is cat trainable! Very Happy

Thanks Bonnie...I'll definitely keep you in mind when the need arises again!

Oh and I am starting to hate leaving Cash with other Greyhounds...I am getting the vibe that he would really like a brother.... must fight the urge!

Never fight the urge. The instant Our first Grey entered Our home I knew We would have another one. Now We have three and I've given thought to maybe number four. We'll see.

Maddie and I as you know had Cal as a foster for 15 days - it was fun while he was here but it was work (even with a fenced in backyard) any time you want to borrow Maddie let me know ( I thought you want a female) and I will ship her up to you for a few days of R&R for me from her (HA HA just kidding)

Also Maddie got her rear end kicked on our trip up to my parents by a friend's cat so (she had her muzzle on to) but it was still funny to watch to big Maddie retreat when the cat swiped his paw against the muzzle. and this happened several times.

Amy, once they settle in 2 is not anymore work than 1, IMO. I really don't find 5 much work and I do all the work not woody. Trimming nails for 5 is a lot of work, however. And, the vet bills is a lot of work to pay for them. Shocked

Linda - with Cal it was work, he was like a toddler. He had no manners. But he was a good boy and a goofball and he is missed by both Maddie and I
