Angel, is my second Greyhound. She is 3.5 years old, and has been home for about 4.5 weeks. She recently decided she likes to tear up books and eat paper. My last greyhound did the same thing. There was something about paper that he could not resist. Is this a common thing for greys???
thank you for any advice on this.

Maddie likes to do this too- (she has not gotten to the books yet and I will not let her) just paper- bills and things (I that need and I leave within her reach. From what I have heard they use shreds of paper in some of the kennels when the puppers are racing for bedding (I think) and they shred it and eat it. (out of boredom maybe?) Many times I have had to call nad get a copy of something due to Maddie eating it. It is embarrassing saying my dog ate it Rolling Eyes .

Give Angel some rubs for me. I was there the day she came off the hauler from Florida and she is a sweetheart. She and Ofive were my 2 favorite girls. Very Happy

Many are bedded on shredded paper in their crates at the kennels. I've had several paper shedders over the years. Some of them "outgrew" it and some didn't. Laughing

And congratulations on your new girl!

My afghan hound likes to "read" my books. She is not allowed unsupervised in the computer room. After all that "reading" you'd think she is smarter by now? Rolling Eyes

Amy, i will give Angel some rubs for you! She has adjusted very well, and seems to be very happy in her new home with her new brother!
