|
|
We have been given a "free" booth at Mint Hill Madness. They normally do not allow big dogs (had incident with big dog and child last year). They are making an exception for us as long as we keep our greyhounds at the 10 x 10 booth we have been assigned.
So..... we need human and hound volunteers!! The dates are;
Sept 28th - Friday - 6:00 until 10:00pm
Sept 29th - Saturday - 10:00 until 10:00pm
Sept 30th - Sunday - 10:00 until 5:00pm
We will be allowed to sell the Citipass Books and the toys (if some are left from Beach Bound Hounds). We need to staff the booth for all hours and it would be good to have dogs for petting. If you can assist (with or without dog) let me know as soon as possible. Call, email or PM me with the day/hours you can help.
Previously GFNC did the Matthews Alive festival and it was a great event for GFNC. Mint Hill Madness brings some of the same people to their event so we will get greyt exposure there.
So if you can volunteer raise your hand. We are talking about 23 volunteer hours for the booth plus set up/tear down so the more the merrier.
Thanks everyone!! _________________

Yep same here. I know where Mint Hill is but not familiar enough to know what park and where. The contact is mailing me all the information and I will post that info once I get it. _________________

I'm so glad GFNC will be at MHM! I'd love to help, but Dave Engraves actually has a booth there as well! We're going to be letting kids make their own buttons and selling premade buttons too.
For those of you who don't know where it is, Mint Hill Madness is at the Park on Fairview in Mint Hill. This is Route 218, Fairview Road. From 485, take Exit 44. If you're traveling on 485 from the Pineville area, get off on exit 44, take a left at the lights to go back over 485, and as soon as you cross over the highway the park is immediately on your left. If you're traveling on 485 from the Concord area, take exit 44, take a right off the exit, and the park is immediately on your left.
51 will also get you there; go through Matthews towards Mint Hill, you'll pass Route 74, Idlewild, Lawyers; after Lawyers, take the right at the next lights at Penny's Restaurant on your right and CVS on your left; this is Rte 218/Fairview. The Park will be about a mile or so down on your right, just before 485.
Have a great time! If it's not too busy, I'll try to stop by to say hi, or come on by our booth--we MAY have a photographer there and you can get a pic of you and your hound & put it on a button/magnet/mirror. Or you can bring a picture with you, we cut about a 2" circle for the button. _________________ Karen

Lynda,
We could probably be there for a bit on Sat. and Sunday afternoons if that would help. If you need more help at other times, let me know and I'll see if we can make it. _________________ Carol, huMom to greyhounds Lee, Sally and Bizzy, whippets Dodge, Mandy and Spice, and Itty Bitty Kitty.
