Don't forget to bring any items you want to put in the auction when you come to open house. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Blanche, You can use those Greyhound Bus Station posters I dropped off earlier this year. And I've got a pair of greyhound statues that just don't leash-walk well that I'll bring up this weekend. |

I would like to also suggest purchasing something special with wide appeal to auction as well. Consider the purchase price both a donation and a small investment that can reap big profits for the organization. Highly coveted items will, of course, drive up the bidding and it often helps stimulate bidding on the other smaller items as well. It will give the GFNC auctions a reputation for having great stuff. This is important in the auction/fundraising community because when a group gets a reputation for high quality items the word spreads and their auctions attract more bidders -- many with lots of money to spend. _________________ Cynthia, huMom to Carly (Cw Your Charming), Princess (Lofty Princess), & Cruz, the galgo

Alisha is our auctioneer(ess?) and you couldn't find a better one. This is not at all like an Ebay auction. If you missed the other ones she has done, the bidding can get pretty wild. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Sounds like a good marketing idea, Cynthia. Something outstandingly special besiides cast-offs and greyhound tee shirts might spice things up a bit! I'd sure donate something wonderful and exciting if I had it, just to take advantage of your smart marketing idea! _________________ Carol, huMom to greyhounds Lee, Sally and Bizzy, whippets Dodge, Mandy and Spice, and Itty Bitty Kitty.
