The GFNC Internet Auction is scheduled for November 5th. We need your help!

Do you have anything you would like to donate? Greyhound items are always wonderful but we willl take other items too. How about that beautiful candle display you got at Christmas but it just doesn't match your decor. Or maybe you got a wonderful bath and beauty set for your birthday but the scent is just not you. Did you replace your digital camera? What did you do with the old one?

Now is your chance to clean out those closets and unload those "re-gift" items you have been saving. Donations are tax deductible and every penny we make on the auction will be used for greyhound adoption.

Its a win-win for everyone but most of all for the greyhounds. Bring your items to Open House or email me and we can arrange to meet you to pick up your donation.

Thank you from the greyhounds!!

Blanche, You can use those Greyhound Bus Station posters I dropped off earlier this year. And I've got a pair of greyhound statues that just don't leash-walk well Laughing that I'll bring up this weekend.

I would like to also suggest purchasing something special with wide appeal to auction as well. Consider the purchase price both a donation and a small investment that can reap big profits for the organization. Highly coveted items will, of course, drive up the bidding and it often helps stimulate bidding on the other smaller items as well. It will give the GFNC auctions a reputation for having great stuff. This is important in the auction/fundraising community because when a group gets a reputation for high quality items the word spreads and their auctions attract more bidders -- many with lots of money to spend. Thumbs up

Alisha is our auctioneer(ess?) and you couldn't find a better one. This is not at all like an Ebay auction. If you missed the other ones she has done, the bidding can get pretty wild.

Sounds like a good marketing idea, Cynthia. Something outstandingly special besiides cast-offs and greyhound tee shirts might spice things up a bit! I'd sure donate something wonderful and exciting if I had it, just to take advantage of your smart marketing idea!
