is it just my computer or is there suddenly alot of these pop up advertisements on this sit now. whats the deal?

We're getting them too. We've had this problem here before. Irritating - they probably help pay the bills for someone. Sure wish we could banish them forever!

Ditto ---- it was great while it lasted! Hopefully, they can try to "fix" it...

the odd thing is that before the mcafee site advisor was showing the red caution box and now it shows green and says no pop ups. go figure

Now that you mention it, the McAfee thing has changed to green here too Hmmm. Makes you wonder...

Back when this happened before we were given a freebie by the person that hosts the site. Guess our freebie is up. I will see if I can find out how much it cost to be ad free.

OK-to get rid of ads we pay a few for so many views ad free. I tried to do this tonight but the PayPal timed out before it completed. I am going to wait a couple days to make sure it did NOT go through before it timed out. Then I will try it once more.

Once we are set as ad-free I am going to change it so that you will NOT see ads while logged in but if you come here to just browse and do not log in then the ads will show. That way we are saving our free views for us and not giving them to the Bots that cruise through.

Bottom line - hang in there a few more days with the ads.

I made a payment and we now have 150000 views ad free. Until you log in you will STILL see the ads and popups. Once you log into the site you will no longer see ads. I set it this way so we don't lose our freebies to the BOTS that cruise the web.
