Hi, Does anyone in the Raleigh area go to the Kennel periodically? I have been collecting ink cartidges for over a year and I am scheduled to pick up another load next month. the problem is I dont get to the Kennel often enough to drop them off. I am hoping that someone may have room in the vehicle and can take some of these up to the kennel when they go. I have a bag full of the small ink cartridges and several large boxes full of the big laser cartridges. |

Hi Linda
You can throw those laser cartridges away. They don't give me anything and they don't refill them. All they want are the small inkjet cartridges with the copper heads on them.
I think if companies refill the laser cartridges some places will give them $3 off their refills, but I don't know anyone that will take them and give any money for them like the Reink place I take them to. Sorry. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Blanche,
The add on GFNC for ink cartridges says laser cartridges. That is why I was collecting them too. There are other charity groups also collecting the for money. Are you sure you want me to trash them? |

Hi Linda
Thanks for getting me thinking on laser cartridges. The place I take the small inkjets to doesn't take them, but I did put a search in for ink cartridge recycling and found that there are a ton of places that recycle them and give lots of money for them.
Because you have so many, if you want to sign up yourself and designate the kennel as your charity, they will send you boxes and/or bags to return the cartridges in free of charge and pay the postage to have the boxes picked up by Fed Ex. That way they wouldn't have to be brought to the kennel and have me packing them up and getting them out etc.
I can give you any information you need to sign up-our fed id number, etc.
I never realized there were so many recycling companies that would do that.
Thanks again-I know you have been saving them a long time. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Don't waste money on postage to mail them to me. If you sign up for a recyling center they will take both large and small and prepay the postage for all of them. I'm sorry I didn't get on the ball and check into this on the internet before.
Thanks for all you are doing to help the greys besides taking in and loving all the seniors you have. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Can you give me the info on a recycling center to sign up with? This is great. no need to thank me. I can't do enough. It is you that deserves recognition. You do a whole lot for these babies of ours and I know if they could speak our language, they would be forever grateful to you. So for them and all you have done for me. I say thank you!
How are you holding up with out your baby? |

I am checking out the different cartridge recyclers. I want one that will pay for the shipping-some will even send boxes, etc and also trying to find one that pays the most for the cartridges. Some pay a set amount and some pay more for the more popular ones. They also have lists that you can check before you send because if the cartridgs isn't on their list you have to pay the shipping and they will deduct from your check.
I'll try to have that information soon.
I'm doing okay without Sherry. Sport misses having someone to play with, but we are at the kennel so often he gets to see other greys quite a bit. If only some of the older returns were cat safe or I would take Califano on a heartbeat if cat safe-he is so loving, but also so curious-he would probably eat my parrot and be in her cage all the time. He will be such a fun dog, but needs to go to someone that will love him for his curiosity. _________________ Blanche E Fedor

Thanks for your help once again. I think Califano is gorgeous. I like Uno Mas also. Very handsome. Glad that you are doing okay. I still miss all my babies and some days I get really sad but their memories make me smile. Sherry's spirit will draw one to you.
