Thank you to Desta and Ritter for assisting Jasmine at the Petapolooza event at the Charlotte Nature Museum. The event was very busy and we had a number of people talk of their interest in greyhounds.

A big roooinnngggg thank you go to Ritter and Jasmine for being so patient and so very kid friendly. The kids were petting and hugging and pulling and screeching and those two troopers were very good through the whole event.

Ritter says that he had a very good time seeing Jasmine but boy was he tired when he got home and the next day. All he did was sleep...... I am sure Jasmine was just as tired..

We had fun...

Hiz All Its Me MAddie

I am vacationing with Momma and the whole gang. We are onz Nantucket now. I was in a car for a while withz another dog (I luz my Blazer with all that room) I was cat tested at momma's friends houze in PA (they have 2 greyhounds that I got to run with) and I'm cat safe (inside the houze) but notz outside- went on a high speed ferrie to nantucket (got my sea legs) and have played with Momma's 6 month old nephew and have had many kids stopps and pets me in town. Wentz to the beach and played in the water (on leash) with my grampy.

Missed my time with Ritter and Jasmine but I am having a blast here. More later. I am offz to sleep on Momma's bed.

Hey Maddie, glad to hear you're having a good time on Nantucket! Tell your mom to take you to Stephanie's at 7 Centre Street because my mom has crystals there; they say Nantucket on them with a picture of the beach (I wonder if it's the one you played on with your grampy?). If you go to Beachbound Hounds your mom can get one with your picture on it! See you later, Trooper

Karen

My Mom and Sister in law (named Stephanie) were in there 2 days ago. I was not able to go in as Mom brought Maddie into town and someone( that being me of course Shocked ) had to stay outside and hold her leash but I will def. go in and check them out. We love that store.

I had gone into town earlier with my brother and sister in law and mom thought it would be neat to bring in Maddie and was going to meet up with us little did I know she was going to bring the Princess with her. So now Mom is now a pro at impromptu Meet and Greets. We have been stopped everywhere we go with the same question of What kind of dog is that? and is it a whippet? Too bad there is no local greyhound group up here on the island) and that we don't have a donation jacket as we could make a killing ($$$ wise)

There's no greyhound rescue on the Island, but there is one in Massachusetts--in fact, it's where we got Trooper! If you get a chance, you should drop in--if you return to wherever you're going after you get off the Island by going North on 495, it's just a couple of minutes off the highway. Let me know if you want the info.

I've never been into Stephanie's but I've heard it's nice. They carry our picture frames and mugs, too.

Maddie, don't give your mom too much trouble, and have a great time back on the ferry!
