I lost my faithful friend last night. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma about three weeks ago,, he just started to limp and with only having three toes on his left foot, I thought it was related to that. Unfortunately the prognosis was very poor, the cancer was in his shoulder and was very aggressive. I chose to just keep him comfortable and let him go when he told me... yesterday morning he was fine, but by the afternoon he just couldnt get comfortable and was not able to walk.. the time had come.
I am happy to have had him for the time that I did.. he was a super good boy,, just tickled to have his big pillow and his friends. He had been living in a garage before he came to live with us so I just hope and pray that time was forgotten and he only remembers his beach trip, playgroup and having fun with Bernie and Muggs. It is so hard to say goodbye, but to have him in my life was so special. I hope I gave him as much joy as he gave to me... Run Free my sweet Jimmy,,, you are so missed and loved

I'm sure Jimmy forgot the bad times and only knew he had finally found his forever home with you, Bernie, Muggs and Ed-who took care of him when you were gone. He had a good last year or so and I'm sure your Zeno met him at the Bridge.

Ceasar Milan says dogs live in the moment, and I believe that when we picked him up that first day and you walked him away from that garage and then we took him to your home he was completely happy. Your Muggs and Bernie were sweet to welcome him into the family and he forgot all about the awful place he came from. Everytime I saw him after that day, he was happy and wagging his tail. He loved you and Ed and you should feel glad that you gave him such a good forever home the last years of his life. You know he's with Zeno and Wiley now and they are all running happy and healthy and free.
We will all miss him.
