i dont understand what it is about paper but dash and my digger did it as well. they both loved to eat paper. if dash finds a little peice of paper its snack time. digger once ate an $80 check. (i guess he has expenceive tast) Laughing

dash is like a child he has to taste everything he can. but seems the most impressed with the taste of paper. that is when hes not climbing up in your lap to lick you in the face. so do they all do this? i have never seen my mom's grey's do it. dash is a bit nuts anyway.

I think he is mad he can not read Mommy's romance novels. (No thumbs really puts a crimp in your reading technique.)

I am a teacher, and when I bring home work to grade, Lindey will literally pull it off my lap and attempt to eat it. She especially likes newspaper! I accidentally left it on the couch and went outside, when I came back in, it was in teeny tiny pieces!! She's a nut too!!

Confession time.........I sometimes give the Sunday paper to my hounds to tear up. Yes, it is a mess that I have to clean up but they have such a good time. Rolling Eyes

Me too. It makes a royal mess but my hounds love tearing up the newspaper. Sam tries to play innocent but the shreds of paper hanging out of his mouth give him away. HA!

dash trys to look like he has no idea what im fussing at as he stands there with the shreds of paper hanging out the side of his mouth. Surprised

Sahara doesn't like to eat paper; she just shreds it. She looks a little guilty here.

Hey Guys
I was told that shredded paper was not only their bedding at the track kennels, but also all they ever had to play with, so it just must be ingrained in them from their past life. Sport also loves to shred up the newspaper, but he doesn't mind if a magazine gets in the way.
