Several Melbourne hounds arrived at the GFNC kennel bright and early Sunday morning!

Everyone was glad to get off the big hauler and stretch their legs. Dennis and Claire Tyler from GPA Central FL made the 24 hour roundtrip, and are getting ready for their trip to Buffalo NY this Thursday to deliver more hounds to adoption groups up north!
I was impressed with their organized paperwork, everything was neatly listed and tucked into clear zippy bags. Every dog had their names and number written on their muzzle and collar and was placed in their assigned box in the hauler.

GFNC had every single dog's chart already prepared and placed on their crates. The hounds had a chance to play and sniff outside before they got fed, watered and tucked in their crates for a well deserved nap.

Maddie and I arrived after the hauler left- Long story don't ask. After unloading the blazer of the donations we brought with us. We went in to check out the new dogs (or I should say I went in and Maddie went to playgroup to play with new dogs- sorry Charlotte playgroup no mud at the kennel for her to roll in or drink up ) She romped around with her buddy Cash under the watchful eye of Keith as he was was advised that Maddie can get "bossy" at playgroup - but she was fine I was told.

I stayed for turnout and got to see each dog come out of their shell a little. There is a brother and sister team at GFNC . Slamming Angel and her brother Slamming Devil. It was my first time to see the kennel turnout and all the kennel staff and volunteers do on a daily basis.

I talked to Dennis earlier today and he and Claire made it home safely exactly 24hours after their journey started.

Hi Amy, sorry we had to leave early and I didn't have a chance to chat with you! How did you fit all those donations in your car??
Our two fosters are doing very well, the boy already has a couple of people interested in adopting him!

Christina- I came out to see you and you were gone- sorry- they call me the master packer- my brother is still amazed at all the baby shower gifts I was able to get into his wife's car so if you need help packing ... poor Maddie had some space-- the blazer is big had I had a lpart of the seat down. I brought items from the kennel back with us - she is used to it with BBH and MTN Hounds. Glad to hear that your 2 are settling in ok and that people are interested in the boy. I called the kennel and spoke with Wayne and he stated that the 10 are settling in as well.
