Hi Everyone
I keep getting asked if we have enough applications to get the license plates going. I asked today and we only have 70 applications.
I keep hearing I have my appliation, but haven't sent it in yet. I'm waiting to see if we get enough.
We will never get enough with everyone waiting to see if we get enough or just letting their application sit there and forgetting to send it in.
It is only an extra $20-If you want a plate, please send in your application-it doesn't help that you have 2 or 3 cars sitting there waiting for new plates if you don't get the 1st one in.
Let's hit that 300 mark. Go to the GFNC website and get your application.
Let's spread the good news about greyhound adoption-isn't that just the greytest hound on the plate by Susie Q.

Blanche is correct. If you haven't sent your application in, do it now. We must reach our goal in order to make the plate a reality.

geez - what a procrastinator I've been - I will send my check this weekend...!! Have any other NC greyhound groups shown interest in the plate? We're going to need everyone, and then some to meet the 300 goal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my boys are crossing thier paws!

I have sent the info to all greyhound groups in NC and Sc ( for those who live in NC area). I had my daughter send it to Her friends in Jacksonville NC. I will be posting at the local vets in my area and any other bulletin board i can find. Very Happy

Hey Blanche:
Please give us an update on the license plate registry. I hope you got a zillion applications during the open house!

Boy, I thought with all the greyhounds that have been adopted in NC, we would have an overflow of applications. To date we have 80. (07/13/07)

I wonder how they got so many for the lighthouse, turtles, and some of the other ones you see.

Are you not satisfied with the design? Let us know why some of you aren't applying for the plate. We haven't heard anything against the design, but I would like to know why we aren't getting anywhere near our goal.

At first we thought it was because everyone wanted to see what it would look like. I myself think it is greyt.
Let's make this a reality-tell us if there is something you don't like about the design.

I think the first post is correct, everyone is "waiting" until it becomes real. But it will never be real if we don't send the orders in. Print the form and send in your order. As they say on late night infomercials.....

Don't wait, act now! And if you place your order now we will send you not one but TWO greyhound kisses. And for a limited time shipping and handling of these kisses is included in your order. But you must act now!

Let's put our thinking caps on and see if we can come up with a plan to better promote these plates. Think

That's sad it hasn't taken off faster Sad I unfortunately am not getting 1 only because I have a vanity plate 4MYGREYS along w/all my grey decals so surely promote adoption where ever I go Wink I was very proud of my plate & would hate to lose it.
I'm sure you do but is every adoption given the plate info & encouraged to get 1? I will copy & paste the most recent info along w/the pic on our GC forum since we have quite a few NC adopters also!!!

It's odd I just cked the member list & altho there are 255 registered people more then 1/2 have never posted Crying or Very sad
Only 30-40 have more then a handful of posts.....
Is everyone else watching & just not talking or did they register & then forget to come back??? Confused

Some of the people register to get Mountain Hounds info so they only tune in for info and updates. Others are just lurchers....you know how those lurchers are.....stealth.

Blanche:
Since your original post in April - now it is August, have you had more people send in their application and $$?

What's the head count, now?
