Justice had surgery yesterday. He is stable and doing good right now.
He does NOT have a cancerous tumor! I am so glad.
Dr. Monce found a large blade of grass and seeds and a stick in his lung that caused an abcess.
He said it was inhaled into his lung probably when his head was low to the ground and his mouth was open and he was running fast and breathing hard.
Unbelievable! Who would have thought?
It was quite involved and he said the surgery was tougher than expected.
He ended up taking two lobes of his lung. One on the left and one on the right.
He also had adhesions. Pus unfortunately leaked into his thoracic cavity, so he will have to stay on intravenous antibiotics. He also has two chest tubes. He may not be home until Friday.
I thank God for answering our prayers and for sending us to Dr. Monce.
