My Lucky has gone to the bridge. He was a wanderful boy at age 11 1/2 who slept next to my bed every night. His tail was so cool, it was big and long like that of a cheetah. He would greet me every day when I got home from work. Now, there is something missing in my home and my heart. I miss him. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Thank you for your thoughts and kindness. When I take in a senior, I know they can leave me at any time. It isnt long after they arrived that I begin to see what their lives have been like before. As I spend time with them I begin to love them as if they were living with me since they were pups and when the time comes that they must go to the bridge my heart breaks. I always wish they were here with me longer and feel cheated that they must go so soon. Each one leaves a special and different memory with me so they all of them will always have a special place in my heart. I am truely grateful for every greyhound that comes into my life and wouldn't trade one minute of the time I have spent with any of them.

Lucky ( my angel boy) is now with Tex, Reesor, Tony and Aquarius ( my other angles). I know that 11 1/2 is a good old age but 18 would have been better. Luckys nick name was Mr. Bones. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Pray Pray Pray

i am very sorry to hear about your loss, there is no hurt like it i am finding out myself. my digger left us last thursday and it still hurts like it was today. they are very special and they seem to have a way into your heart almost from the first time you look in there eyes. i understand your pain. my deepest simpathy goes out to you. it jst doesnt seem fair they have to go in such a short time. Crying or Very sad we are fortunate for the time they are here. i just wish it was longer.

I am so sorry to hear of Lucky's passing. Like you said the seniors are never with us long enough. But we love them and protect them and when it is time we tell them good bye and God's speed.

Run free Lucky.
