May 3rd Kannapolis Intimidators Baseball Game
Time: Game time 7:05pm
We are looking for volunteers to bring their greyhound for a Meet & Greet. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Debbie Rater for information. We also have tickets for sale for the May 3rd and June 30th games. Tickets are $4 and $2 of each ticket sale with goes to GFNC. May 3rd is Thirsty Thursday w/Wings night. $1.25 soda/draft beer and .25 wings from Wing Street. (If volunteering, no beer please.)

Meet & Greets are great events to educate the public about the greyhound as a pet. If you are able to volunteer, contact the lead so they can schedule for appropriate coverage. Generally people will volunteer for two-hour shifts, if you can only volunteer for one hour that will be fine, just let the lead know.

Therapy Dog certification is not required for visiting the following centers. We ask that the dog be friendly and clean. If you wish you may dress them in hats or costumes. If you have not previously provided a copy of shot records please bring a copy for the center to retain. Also bring updated copy if shot certification on file needs to be updated.

Nothing is more Southern than a true fish camp. The Riverview Inn was built in 1949 by Irwen W. Burns Sr and has remained a family establishment. Originating as camp sites during the Depression era, the fish camp ultimately evolved into a restaurant in the late 19402 and 1950s. Having lived in Charlotte all my life the Riverview Inn holds lots of memories. From the peg-leg Captain Windy to the dungeon for children who don’t clean their plate it was always fun to go to Riverview Inn.

Kannapolis playgroup is held each Sunday, 10-12pm.
From Charlotte take I-85N to exit 58. Take the second exit ramp going toward Kannapolis on 29 North. Third traffic light turn left onto Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Go past S. Main St. and turn left at the first street, Martin St. Follow this straight back to the ballfield.

Charlotte playgroup is held each Saturday, 9-12pm.
Continental Boarding 2235 Township Rd (off of HWY 49 just north of Westinghouse Blvd behind the Emergency Vet). Playgroup will be held as weather permits. If it rains on Friday the field will be too wet for Sat playgroup. Donations accepted. Donations will be used to thank Continental Boarding for allowing us use of the field.
