We finally have our home hotel & are planning all kinds of new activities for this yr!!! There's a registration form on that page. If you're registered already you should have the hotel info to make your reservations. In a few days the info will be released on our BBH forum

Yeah!!! We love BBH. I printed out my form some time ago to mail it and then promptly lost it. So I have printed another and as they say.........the checks in the mail.

If you haven't been to BBH try to make it. The combination of beach and greyhounds is always fun. Some love the water and some say nOOOooooo too much like a bath for me. And then some non-greys like Maggie just go into ADD overload. Sun, Sand, Water, Kids, Birds, Kites, Dogs, OH MY!

Book early(& just in case) there are no penalties to cancel up to the wk before BBH if needed.....

Don't forget EVERY family must also register w/GC to get all goodies, freebies, coupons, agendas etc!!!

For Reservations:

** Call the LOCAL number listed above, not the toll free reservation line which takes you to the LaQuinta corporate phone lines. ‘Our’ LaQuinta really wants to talk to each family!

•Do NOT hit the number for reservations—go instead to the front desk and speak to anyone that answers. You specifically want to talk to the desk personnel AT the hotel!
•Be sure to tell them it’s for BeachBound Hounds
•Rooms are $59 (plus room taxes) a night, NO FEE or pet deposit!!
•Rooms are held with a credit card, but NO charges made until you check out
•Cancellations carry NO penalty until the week of BBH
•Room rate extends to early arrivals or late departures on either end of BBH- be sure to specify so they don’t assume you’re staying the typical “Thursday-Sunday”.
•ALL ROOMS have been blocked for BBH so there shouldn’t be ‘non-dog’ folks in the hotel. Everyone around will know what a Roo is and understand potty areas! The room block will be lifted Aug. 15th so book early!!

OK, we had a HUGE, eventful planning meeting Sat. & got ssoooo much accomplished!!!!
I have a question for those that were there last yr (or newbies if you want to join in) Lynda was it you? Someone on their way out last year offered to spray outside potty stations..... Just cking to see if anyone still wanted to do that. Or if any person or group wants to head a mini event or task feel free to speak up!

Cyndi, How many years have BBH been going on. We did not come to #1 but have been at all the others.

That was me to offer to help with the potty area spraying.
I feel like we are so lucky to have you guys work so hard and organize this wonderful beach event each year and the least we can do is, as a group help out with some maintenance.
Ideally it would be nice if each group offered to take a day to help with spraying.
Or, as my hubby suggested to take a shift each day like every morning or evening. I think we need to start spraying on thursday and by friday and saturday it needs to be sprayed down 2 or 3 times those days.

There are so many people who come early now because it is so nice to end the summer with your dogs at the beach.

I will take responsibility for rounding up a team of sprayers from our GFNC-Clt group.
Shall I post something about this on the Beach talk website? to see if we can get any of the other groups to pitch in too?

This is our 8th BBH, my 7th w/GC...

We haven't heard anything definate on the boxes yet but working on that.. GC also has the bucket stations that we place w/in the hotel for emergency clean ups as well.

Feel free to post any info on BT & get a team together. There is a hose outside attached near the pool. I'm sure it will still be there or the hotel will have no problem getting us 1. There's alot of grassy area but we'll try to select an away from activity area to designate for pottying. There's also a fence line behind the hotel perfect for the boys. We may have signs to direct boys that way & girls the other (if possible) Obviously if you have both, you gotta go, you gotta go

ALSO, if you have not booked a room & know you want in we just found out Sat.***** LESS THEN 45 ROOMS LEFT***** Might seem like alot but they booked almost 100 in just this past month since the release of hotel info!!! So call now.
