Noni died at home of an apparant heart attack. She leaves behind her 2 fur brothers, Harley and Shay-Shay, and fur sister Rhonda.
Noni was a beautiful black girlie with a graying muzzle. Always so calm around her zany brothers. Always so pretty in every outfit her mom sewed for her.
Alice and Ray Bossert have been stalwart advocates of greyhound adoption for many years. Alice has been making and selling greyhound collars and coats as our main fundraiser for GFNC's Coastal Greys Wilmington satellite.
Godspeed dear Noni, you will be missed.

The following poem was written by PhillyPups on another forum just for Noni:

Mom and Dad as I look down on you,
From my place at the bridge, what a wonderful view.
I see you busy helping all my friends,
With the love in your hearts that never ends.
Please know it was time, I needed to go,
There are so many hounds that still need you so.
Please do not mourn my coming here to stay,
Knowing how I was loved by you each and every day.
I left with a smile upon my face,
I was the quiet one full of dignity and grace.
I thank you for our home so full of love,
I brought some of that love to comfort me here above.
I am still with you I have my paw print on your heart,
Though I am gone, we will never part.
You taught me so much, you gave your all,
You dressed me so well from head to paw.
Please do not cry, please do not weep,
Look for the signs, they may come when you sleep.
Look for the rainbows high in the sky,
That will be me just passing by.
So on your wings of love, I came to the bridge,
Please don’t stop helping all those other kids.
When you sew the coats, for all of the hounds,
Think of me often, with those big boy clowns.
You see I am here again young and free,
I will wait by the bridge for you to join me.

So sorry to hear of sweet Noni..... I just saw them all a few short weeks ago. Noni was their 1st sweet girl & such a joy!! She leaves behind a greyt legacy...her brothers, many fosters to come & the beautiful greyhound accessories made lovingly by her mom & dad.
