|
|
Ok for all you X-pen owners:
I am thinking of buying one for Maddie when we go on trips etc. As most of you know, Maddie is a big girl - about 29 inches high with her head up. and about 67 1/2 pounds (she loves her treats ) Is it better to get the tallest one that they have - 36 or 48 inches? Any recommendations. Thanks for the advise.

Amy, I am thinking mine is 42. I got mine on ebay and bid on the 28 inch but didn't get it so I went for the 42 and got it. Used it last year at Mountain Hounds and it was fine. I really did not need the tall one. _________________ Linda

Good question, Amy. I've been thinking about getting one too, so I'm interested to hear what size people have. If you have multiple dogs, how many panels do you have? _________________ Cynthia, huMom to Carly (Cw Your Charming), Princess (Lofty Princess), & Cruz, the galgo

That makes 2 for the 42 inches. I think t he 36 would work as well but you never know with the Mads and what she can do. The 48 is too tall I think as I am only 5 foot 3 1/2. and to have to reach over the top to put toys are water in that, I may fall into. (LOL) I want to use it for Mountain Hounds this year etc.
Cynthia, I have been poking around on ebay and you can bid on them for as low as 9.99 for a brand new one never been out of the box, the shipping is around 45-60. but is still cheaper then buying one at petsmart or petco for 120.00 They come with approx 8 panels I think making an octogon is approx 19.3 square feet. You can see the configurations on the their ebay store website.
Thanks for the advise Linda _________________ Amy

You don't need to pay for shipping if you use certain catalog stores.
I always bought my crates from UPCO and if you spent more than 60 the shipping was free.
This is nice for us gals, it arrives on your doorstep in afew days no need to haul it to your car, etc.
Check JBPet, Care a lot, KV, Petcratesdirect, Mightypets, petaroo.
Midwest or General cage make good crates and would likely have same quality for xpens.

Not sure on the number of panels and it is outside in the shed but it will fit 2 nicely but maybe able to get three in for a short time and if they all get along. _________________ Linda
