Any sewers out there? Want to get together once or twice a month and do some sewing, crafting, share ideas, learn new things, talk about Greyhounds? How great it would be to make lap quilts or throw size quilts to be auctioned or raffled off. Everyone loves those!!! Don't be shy now, if we all make a block or two, we could have a great crazy quilt. BIG potential here

Wonderful ideas Linda! We have someone who has a bunch of greyhound t-shirts he inherited from his sister. A suggestion was made to turn them into a quilt but we don't have a volunteer in Charlotte who can quilt. So if you have the quilters we can get the t-shirts.

Hi, I am starting to do some quilying now. I have heard of the T shirt quilts, They are a nice way to use the T shirts of memories. I got a whole binder off the internet of quilt patterns so i am ready to go. If my quilt turns out like I think it will. I will make a lap quilt and send it to you, if you like it, I 'll be more than happy to do the Greyhound one for you. I am hoping to get a embroidery machine by the end of the year. That will help make thing even nicer. The gift Baskets work great also, One thing that helps sell tickets are getting a couple of local resteraunts to donate a gift certificate and put one or two in the basket. One thing we did in New York was to get a booth donated to us at the local Festival and we set up shop for the weekend. Great potential their. Also a great place to have the Gift Basket.
