I am sorry to hear this news. I have heard of this happening to others. Clear x-ray, clean biopsy and still has osteo.

The problem with biopsying a bone tumor, per my vet, is that there is only a thin layer of live cells on the surface of the tumor. It's very hard to get just those live, diagnosable cells in a biopsy and not the necrotizing cells from the inside of the tumor which won't give a good reading.

Something similar just happened to my Betsy. She was on pain meds from the doc for 4 days with no improvement. After talking with Randy, I gave her Deramaxx. Within 4 hours she was up and walking like nothing happened. Before that I had to actually carry her out to go to the bathroom. She had no use of her rear leg at all and was in severe pain. Thanks to Randy, Betsy isnt hurting anymore and my vet got educated.
