Carolina Place is doing pet pics with Santa Dec 4 and 11 from 6-8:30.
Does anyone want to meet at the mall one of those nights around 7:15 and do pictures with your Greyhound and Santa? I thought it might be fun to parade all of the greyhounds through the mall

however, tomorrow (28th) and december 7, they are also doing pet photos with santa at 630pm or so. This also benefits the Charlotte Humane Society as well.

I also know petsmart (pineville) is doing Santa on the weekends.

OOOPS- I forgot to add in my above post that this is taking place at Southpark Mall near macys and the food court.

That would be fun! Seeing 10 or more Greyhounds dressed in their Christmas finery trotting through the mall. Will have to check the calendar to see if we can make it.

Also Barbara's Canine Cafe is holding their Santa Paws event on Sat Dec 2nd. Her website doesn't say who benefits but it is usually a local group. Last year it was the Great Dane group. GFNC did it one year and we made a chunk of change. Maybe we can get in for next Christmas. Just need a couple volunteers for Santa and a couple elf helpers.

I will see what I can dress Cheewa up in. Maybe he can be an elf. A big skinny elf.
I cant get any weight on that boy. He is costing me a fortune to feed and he eats better than we do, but its all veggies and turkey so he is not really gaining much. but he is feeling better. that's the most important thing.

Totty and I will be at the mall Monday December 4 at 7:15. Please join us if you can. We will need some small dog safe greys to block Romeo and Cheewa from any small dogs they might mistake for a chew toy

Totty, Reynolds and I took Cheewa, Abbey and Romeo to the mall last night to see Santa. We had the biggest dogs there so we had to keep a close eye on Romeo and Cheewa Abbey was less than impressed with Santa, but the pictures turned out really well. Turns out Santa is a greyhound fan! There was also a celebrity sighting someone recognized Cheewa from the Ren Fest!

How much were the photos?

They had different packages. I got the four wallets for $14.95 and then I printed a coupon off the internet and got a 5x7 for free.

Yes, next Monday is the last day they are doing the pet pics with Santa.

I saw Cheewa's picture and it came out great. Wish we could have gone too. Maybe next year we can take a bunch of greyhounds. Or is that a gaggle of greyhounds? Pack of greys?

I think I will be taking Maddie so if anyone wants to join us let me know. Also I will be at play group on Saturday so I can pick up the jacket that I forgot (thanks for getting that for me) More worried about getting my poor loved starved pup a new dog then myself.


Also - since you all love the "flying cat" at Petsmart that Madddie barks at, I let her outside last night in the fenced yard to do her thing. I was inside doing something and I hear this bark- not thinking it is Maddie at all, I look outside and there is Maddie howling at my neighbor's moving fake deer that are decked out in white lights. They have been up for a few days and Maddie apparently just noticed them. What a great protector Maddie is.
