I brought home a new little girl, Star, from Charleston two weeks ago.
I have another male Grey who has been with me since November. I also have one Jack Russel. They all get along and Star like to play with Sophie the Jack Russel; Sophie's not so fond of it but puts up with it.
My problem is that Star pees and poops in the house. I don't have grass in my backyard and I think that's part of the problem. The yard is shredded mulch, pea gravel and a slate patio. I've tried everything I can think of incuding walking her to the mulch areas and lots of walks in the neighborhood. She doesn't go on our walks but does when we return home. It's either in the house or outside on the patio. I have to watch her constantly when she's in the house and when she starts pacing I take her outside. Sometimes she'll do something and other times not. I'm at my wits end.......any ideas?

Angel used to do this as well. She seemed to have no issues going potty in the house and the worst part was that she would eat the poo. I was at my wits end. Suddenly, she just stopped. She hasn't done it in about 6 months. I think it may have just been an anxiety thing, we had recently moved. I honestly don't have any advice as i didn't know what to do with her other than tell her and try to take her out more often. But it didn't seem to matter. So, i guess, i'm just telling you that i can sympathize and hopefully it will pass.

Are you using a crate with Star? If you take her out and she doesn't go while she is out then put her in her crate or confine her to one room and in a bit take her out again. If she goes then lots of happy joy joy sounds with a treat and then she gets free reign.

It might take awhile but at least she will only have the one room to mess up.
