I have recently started a job in the Charlotte area. My wife is still in Maryland trying to sell our house so she can move here with me. To help her, I have brought our 3 Greys with me and we are doing fine in a small apartment. I try to go back home about every 3 weeks if my work schedule allows it.

For these trips, I have been using a boarding kennel that I have been happy with (Club K-9 in Pineville) but the expense is hurting. I am writing to ask if anyone might be willing to take one or two of my Greys sometime. They are all healthy and have no special needs. I would provide their food and I am willing to pay a reasonable amount that we can agree on. My hope is that I can save a little money and my dogs would be staying with someone who understands their unique requirememts.

If I have asked too much, please accept my apologies. The best way to reach me if you are willing to help is my cell phone (214) 287-9175.

Thanks,
Bill Pace

They DO look like they are having a good time. I am glad that you were able to help Bill out. Does having that many at one time make you want to get Caeley a permanent new friend??? Very Happy

No to the perm. greyhound buddy...not for now anyway... the expense and cleaning of three dogs a cat and a bird are enough for now..... but the occasional boarding is quite fun......I would have a house full if I hit the lotto though Smile........

I just want to thank Kendra and Mike for their support and taking on Abbey and Erin while I traveled back to Maryland for the weekend. They are great people and I can't gush enough about how much I appreciate their very kind help.

I also want to thank Amy for taking Troy for the weekend. From what I have heard, all the Greys had a good time and behaved themselves.

This is a great forum and I am always impressed by the great people I have met through the various Greyhound adoption/rescue groups that I have dealt with.

Thanks again to all.

Bill

I noted that your post was in June, so you may have found a place. I live in Statesville, just north of Charlotte, and have room to take care of your "kids" if you still need it. Are they small animal safe? I have a fenced in backyard and have one grey of my own.
