Looking forward to seeing some greyhounds out & about Very Happy I've never gotten to attend this event because I've always been working... but was offered the chance to work this event for Petsmart. LOL, ironic I'll still be working but at least can enjoy some of the activities. I'll be at the PS table from 4:30-9:30pm, come by & see me Wink

I doubt you will see any GH. It is to hot. I stopped going for several reasons. The main reason is because it is just TO DARN HOT and the last time I went the gang was close to collapse by the time we left and we weren't there for very long. They do have cooling tents with pools but not enough for the volume of people who attend. There are also way to many people there with dogs that shouldn't because they have no control of their dog. I am surprised there has never been a horrific incident and truly believe that it is just a matter of time. The last time I was there I took the gang into the cooling area to cool off and it was REALLY crowded because it was REALLY hot and while I was trying to cool off the gang there was a lady with a Boston terrier who was playing with the Terrier with a water hose by getting him to jump up and down and chase the water all but under Sheana's nose thus getting Sheana into full blown hunting mode. When I brought this to her attention and asked her to stop for her dogs safety because mine might not be the only one who is being aroused by this she gave me a real dirty look and just kept on doing it. I left and have not been back. It is a real shame because it is for a good cause but until they change the time of year they hold this and people learn to use common since in regards to handling their dogs in large crowds with lots of dogs, I won't be back.

The temps have been close to 100 this week and isn't looking much better for next week. If it's to hot for me, then it's to hot for the hounds. Most of the Coastal Greys feel the same way but you may see one or two.I hope they do well but I think that that because of the heat and gas prices they may not do so well this year.
