Today is a sad day in the Bell household. Today I had to make the awful, heartwrenching decision to have Racer put to sleep. He was battling renal failure and his quality of life was ebbing, and had been for a while. Racer was 13-1/2 yrs young. Such a good boy, silly and goofy and always happy. I will miss his sweet face every day.

Run pain-free, once again, dear Racer. Find Ellie and have a GRAND time together. Until we meet again, xxoo

Oh, Jean, I'm sorry to hear about Racer's passing, although I join you in believing he is running free, enjoying his new life, even as he continues to wath over you and your family. May your good memories crowd around you to comfort and keep you as you adjust to his new role in your life.

Jean, I am heartbroken to hear about Racer. I remember coming to your house and he was running around tossing his toy in the air. What a special hound he is. He is special here and at the bridge. I can just see him tossing his toy around at the bridge. I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
