Coastal Greys will be holding its annual picnic on Saturday May 24th (Memorial Day weekend) at River Road State Park from 11-3.
Mike will be grilling burgers and hot dogs.
There will be a raffle for assorted goodies.

The correct location is Snows Cut Park (not the state park) off of Carolina Beach Rd south of Wilmington, turning right onto River Rd just before you go over the bridge. We'll be at picnic shelter #1.

Is Diesel going to see Miss Ginny again? Very Happy

I am also bringing foster Chance, his new mom from Topsail Beach is picking him up at the picnic. It will be nice for her to see that many greyhounds in one place and meet their people.

Good! Are you dressing Ginny in a cute hat?
What do we have to bring, besides chair and dog pillows, and money for the raffle? Food is provided for a fee, right?

I printed out directions and am ready to hit the road! The weather for Saturday looks greyt!!
Maybe I'll take the ferry to Southport on the way home, that way Diesel and Dodge get to ride the boat. Razz

Yes! The picnic was GREYT!!! Very Happy

We had a wonderful time, I didn't know the Wilmington satellite had that many members and supporters, lots of people and hounds at the picnic! Food was excellent, lots of goodies to chose from.
Dodge got a new collar, now Diesel and Dodge have matching orange sock monkey collars. Razz

We missed the 4:00pm ferry to Southport, so we took the dogs for a nice walk at the beach. Diesel loves the beach and digs holes and chases birds. Dodge had never seen the beach and didn't want to get his feet wet. But after watching Diesel having so much fun he was convinced that it wasn't all that bad afterall.
Both dogs slept the whole way home. Dodge was so tired that he had to lie down eating his dinner! He is still sluggish today. Silly pup. Razz
