my poor stormy ripped a toenail off this morning when i went to let him out during my morning break. he gets so excited when i am about to let him out. i guess his toenail got caught in the crate. i was getting the leash and all i heard was a loud scream! i looked and blood was gushing out... my house looks like somebody got murdered. i took him to the vet immediately and they have him now. i am now at school about to teach a class with blood all over my clothes. poor stormy! i hope he will be ok... pray for my little guy!!!!

oh, man, ripped out toe nails are the worst. My angel Panama ripped his dew claw out twice. I didn't even take him to the vet the second time because i knew by then how to clean and bandage it myself. There was a lot of blood though, both times. I hope your baby boy feels better soon! Poor thing.

i just went and picked him up... he lost his toenail and it won't be growing back :( but he is feeling better. they prescribed him some pain meds (previcox 227 mg)... does anybody know anything about this medicine or have ever gave it to their grey? they said it may mess up his stomach.... yahoo!!! like we all haven't been through enough today.

stormy looked happy to see us... when we brought him home, both odie and stormy looked happy to see each other. how sweet!

Glad he is back home! Very Happy
You never know, the toe nail may grow back. But even without it, he'll still be handsome!

Look at the bright side, now when You get his nails clipped You should get a discount. He'll never miss the toenail.

i picked up stormy from the vet and they cleaned it out and said that it was infected so they prescribed him some antibiotics and put this awful looking wrap on his foot. he is pitiful looking especially when he is trying to walk... he has to wear the wrap for 48 hours to keep him from licking it.
