This Is Jane. Jane found her new family at the carolina renaissance festival.
On Sunday, A family spent a lot of time visiting Jane and asking questions. Sunday evening their application was faxed to the kennel, Tuesday they were approved and I did the home visit, and, Tomorrow, Friday, Jane will be going to her new home with her family in Winthrow Downs in the university area.

Hello Everyone! We are Jane's new pets... I mean parents.... Smile We are totally in love with Jane, and her sisters like having her around as well!!!! Last night was her first night with us, and she only cried for minute or two, and then settled right down ( thankgoodness, I would have cried too if she cried all night). She has decided that all the toys in the house belong in her crate buried under her blankets...... Any advice is much appriciated, since this is our first greyhound...

Thanks!

Kendra & Mike

Congratulations!! Very Happy
That's a good thing, you should praise her for keeping the house in order. Diesel thinks that all toys need to be scattered around the livingroom on a daily basis! Razz

Kendar & Mike welcome to the forum and congratulations on the adoption. Jane is beautiful. Our first greyhound, Jasmine was a collector. She put things in her crate. If we were missing a shoe the first place to check was the crate. And she liked to redecorate. She would put the couch pillows on our bed, the bathroom rugs on the couch, etc. I think with greyhounds all this stuff is so new they think it all belongs to them.

One thing I "finally" learned was to put the remote controls UP out of her reach. She chewed on three before I learned that lesson. (Yes, slow human here.)

Again congratulations and hopefully you will join us for some greyhound events or one of our monthly dinners. Events are posted under the Charlotte section of the forum.
