As many of you know a little over a year ago I adopted a puppy from an oops litter. Many of you know her, Ginny. When we got Ginny one of her brothers went to Florida. His name was Lucky. Sadly a week before their first birthday Lucky lost his battle with a liver disorder. His family the Roysdens were devastated.

Resently another brother, Koby, was bounced from his home due to a divorce. The Roysdens have decided to adopt him and they need help with transporting him. The people who have him now can get him to Whytheville, VA. and the Roysdens came get as far as Columbia , SC. They need help getting him transported from Whytheville to Columbia. Whytheville is about 2 hours North of Greensboro. The GUR would take place on June 23rd. Can anybody help get Ginny's brother to his forever home?

Thank you Amy. I am hoping we can make it 3 short drives. If We can get someone to get him in Whytheville and bring him to Greensboro, then Greensboro to Charlotte and then Charlotte to Columbia that would be greyt.

Here is an update on the GUR.
Koby is to be arriving at the Flying J in Whytheville around 9am on the 23rd. We need someone to fill this leg to Greensboro. We are expecting him to then arrive in Greensboro around 11:30 + or -. Gr8NCGreys is this time good for you? If so let us know. That would have Koby arriving in Charlotte again around 1:45pm + or - and then going onto Columbia.

Meeting places should be arranged by the 2 involved parties as neither I or Michelle are familiar with the locations.

Michelle Roysden is to be Koby's new mommy she cam be reached at

.

Also it should be noted that according to the people who he is with right now he is perfect in every way except one. He is completely capable of slipping a martingale no matter how tight it is. So precautions should be taken whenever possible. If you have a halter you can use during your part of the transport it would be great.

Thank you to all who have responded with help.
Very Happy

Sounds good. I will let Blanche know now so she can cover me at the kennel.

And I just happen to have a harness that I used with Bernard when I first got him.

That is so great! Now if we can get the Whytheville to Greensboro leg filled we will be all set. I did make a mistake in my last post which I have corrected. That Sat. is the 23rd not the 26th, sorry.

If gas prices werent so high I would do that leg too. I like to drive, but Shocked I have to watch the pennies now.

So once we have that leg done, I am taking to ?Amy in Charlotte?

I know major highways in Charlotte. I know 85 goes to Greenville and 77 goes to 20 or 26 to Columbia. There is a rest area right past Carowinds if that is a good place to meet.

I have had offers to help from 2 Amy's. Both are in Charlotte and both are at MH this weekend. When they get back we will see which one can do it based on the time schedule. Once we know which one the 2 of you can email and figure where would be the best place for you to meet.

I can do it no problem- I know the feeling about watching the pennies
Leah- I have been emailing Lori on greytalk about this- I just logged on here to read the new posts. I am in South charlotte near 485 and 77. 77 is probably the best way but lets wait and see if we get someone to do the first leg before we make arrangements to meet. Sound Good?

To everyone who has helped put this together you have my thanks and Ginny sends yips and licks to you all. It looks like all we have to do now is confirm times and places and wait for the 23rd to get here.

Thanks Leah for contacting Tracey. I was going to do it last night but was so tired after I got home that I did not log into my laptop.

Michelle is very thankful that we are doing this.

I will send you a pm later with my cell and home numbers and where we can meet up in Charlotte.
