Maybe this isn't happening to everyone, but when I open WMH now (since all the pop-up ads under the nose), McAfree SiteAdvisor is gving me a red warning flag. On top of that, now we are getting many many cookies and lots of spam , even though I delete the cookies no less than once daily. Is anyone having this happen? _________________ Carol, huMom to greyhounds Lee, Sally and Bizzy, whippets Dodge, Mandy and Spice, and Itty Bitty Kitty. I have been over on the phpBB website reading about this same thing. Some groups are getting porno ads. The support group there has contacted the Webmaster person and he is working on getting the porno ads off and figuring out why the spam is coming up. I don't understand the whole thread but they were saying today it should be fixed soon. _________________ Lynda M

The forumup sponsor of the board has given us some free ad time to compensate for the problems users have been having with pop up and slow response time. They are still looking into the issue and trying to find another ad group to use rather than the one they have now. They may decide to go to a pay service instead of supporting the servers using ads. If they do I will let you all know the amount and what is decided. _________________ Lynda M

Thank you. The nasty ads appear to be gone, at least for now. McAfee still doesn't like the site, but maybe they'll like it better if the site stays calm for a while. Thank you, Lynda. _________________ Carol, huMom to greyhounds Lee, Sally and Bizzy, whippets Dodge, Mandy and Spice, and Itty Bitty Kitty. Helped by husband Darrell and sons Joe and Josh. |
