So the new crate for Mickey has now been half way broken out of. I found his muzzle on the floor outside the crate, his nose bruised, but Mickey still in the crate. I think he got his head out the door (don't know how he got one of the latches undone). Then I think he got his muzzle stuck in the crate door, panicked, and yanked his head back. This broke the muzzle strap and freed his head.

Taked to Randy. We tried acepromazine last night at 1/2 of a 25 mg tab. He was so drunk he could not walk. It was really sad. He wouldn't sleep, however. he just layed there looking pitiful.

So we took a long walk this morning in the dark and rain (an hour). Gave him 2000 mg of valerian root (had been on 1500mg without much help). Crated him while we were at home, and he was whining in the crate if we were not in direct sight. So this am I tried 12.5 mg of benedryl. We'll see what lunchtime reveals. . .

We are also doing the dap diffuser, I've ordered the doggy lullabye cd. We do frequent crating when we are home. I really don't want to leave him out. He gets into too much stuff even when we are home. And if we muzzle him and let him roam, he bangs the muzzle against every hard surface he can reach. Any other ideas? We're getting worried about his safety at this point.
