Before daylight I heard the sounds of a dog throwing up. It was my Beecher Boy. He is sick Sad . Beecher has been here amost 7 years and he has never been sick or missed a meal. I knew we were sick when he didn't eat his breakfast. I let him out and all he wanted to do was eat grass. Poor baby. I am taking the day off from work and in the watch mode. He did not poop this morning so I have not been able to check his stools yet. He has thrown up 4 times and it is mostly bile. Nothing in his throw up (like a toy of anything of that nature). He is not one to chew stuff up and he has not been anywhere to catch something. I am very worried. I will most likely take him to the vet but I would like to take a poo sample with me. So I am on watch and wash mode. He messed up several dog beds. Say a prayer for my Beecher......I just can't believe my boy is sick. Sad

Poor Beecher!!
I hope it'snothing more than the weather change.
last week Joy got the big D for no apparent reason and this afternoon, whilehome with me as I rest she threw up her breakfast in my bedroom!!
Let us know what the vet says. I think the weather change and all the pollen takes its toll on all our systems.

Poor Baby!!!
I know if Opie eats just one blade of grass, he'll empty his stomach a few minutes later. Jingo can graze like a cow and it never comes back. They both have started in grazing this week.
Lets hope that's all that's wrong with Beecher. Fingers & paws crossed...

Sending healing thoughts to Beecher!! Poor guy! Bullet's had a bit of stomach upset as well --had to make a fun trip to the E-Vet about 2 weekends ago, and they found nothing --just gave him some subcue-fluids and antacid ---he's been better --but still eating the grass! Hopefully ---nothing more serious than just a little upset tummy for Beecher as well!

Good thoughts for Beecher! We give Jasmine Pepto Bismol and that helps her.

Keep us posted!

How's Beecher doing?
My vet said that the nasal drippings due to allergies collect in their stomach over night and they eat grass to get rid of it, that's why they usually puke in the early morning hours, like 3am. Mad

Well my good boy Beecher woke me up at 5:45 a.m. to go out. He now has the BIG D. Sad Poor Beecher has never been sick before and he looks sooooo sad. Sad He is not in pain as he was able to sleep his normal 20 hours a day, yesterday. Thank goodness, the other dogs are not showing any signs of illness.

Poor baby! Sad I'm hoping right along with you that no one else gets sick.
The only thing worse than a dog with diarrhea is dogs with diarrhea!

Keep his diet bland and make sure he's drinking plenty. It's amazing how quickly they can get dehydrated. Hopefully, the worst has passed (no pun intended).

Hope everybodys' doggies are feeling better today.I don't have any sick ones yet,but I've noticed Paige has been eating a lot of grass lately.Must be something "in the air."I'm the one who isn't feeling all that great!!
I fell off the ladder at work...someone spilled liquid soap on the floor and didn't get it cleaned up properly. When I came down off the ladder it slipped a little...I lost my balance, missed the last step and fell.I sprained my left ankle and fractured my right arm!! The Workmans Comp Dr. gave me the night offf, sent me back to work the next night with a note that said
(and I quote)..."no use of right arm and cannot stand on left foot for more than one hour a day!!" Is that crazy...or what??? My job requires that I stand...and I am a stocker. So,what was I supposed to do...stand on my foot for 1 hr. and sit down for 7hrs??? Since I am right handed it has been kinda hard opening boxes with my left hand!!!(without using my right arm at all)!! Oh,well!!

Sandy,
I sure hope you are feeling better soon. I would bet you still hurt, at least a bit, now. What a dumb doctor to say you can go back to work like that...whose payroll is he on???? That's crazy.
All the Vales send you love, healing white light, and lots of lovely get-better-quick doggy drool!

And now, back to topic Wink

Linda,
How is Beecher today? The only thing worse than having a dog sick like he has been is having one sick like that when it's raining outside!
Poor Beecher! Poor you too.

Beecher, Miss Jasmine threw up last night in empathy for you so you wouldn't feel all alone being sick.

She really did Razz . But she is fine. And she sends healing thoughts to Beech!
