last night around 430 am, unfortunately, monday had another seizure. of course, it was heartwrenching and awful. the vet upped his phenobarb to 1 and a 1/2 tabs at night and said to call if we have any breakthrough seizures. i will be calling 1st thing in the morning since today is sunday and they won't be in til then. he seems to be having 1 per month and that's too many! wish us luck that we can get these horrible things under control! i hate it for my sweet boy that he has to go through this. i take comfort knowing that at least we are here with him when it does happen.

Poor Monday! I hope he feels better very very soon! Talk to Judy (Jillysfullhouse on GT) about her Seizure hounds, she gives a combination of Phenobarb and Sodium Bromide. She will have great advice for you! (and of course talk to the vet, I didn't mean do that instead of)

Give Monday kisses from us. I know that must be hard for you guys to watch him go through. I am glad he has such a loving Mommy to take care of him.

Sorry to hear about Monday. My girl Penny had seizures once a month when we first adopted her. The vet put her on Potassium Bromide and she has not had one since. They are terrible to watch you feel so helpless. Our other grey alerted us by barking to wake us up the first time it happened. Needless to say when i came out of the room and saw her in a seizure i just screamed. That is the only time she had barked. She is such a good girl. Hope everything goes well.

thanks everyone! each pill is 64.8mg and he takes 1 in the morning and 1and 1/2 at night. we go to the vet tomorrow to check his levels. hopefully we ban add the potassium bromide because it seems to really work!!!
