if i could have only gotten a picture with sound it would have been priceless. i always make a rabbit check of the back yard before letting the boys out side cause there seems to be a rabbit or two that dont seem to understand that greyhounds live here. well this morning after i got home from work, i went to do my usual check of the back yard. as i opened the blinds on the door to look out as i went outside, the boys were bouncing around (over me and each other) dash caught sight just about the same time i did Razz , of peter cotton tail sitting in the back yard. well that started some rather loud deep barking and it went from playtime to go time. apparently the rabbit heard all this noise and took off under the fence. i let the boys out and dash was on full go with alex right behind, (i dont think alex really knew why they were in such a hurry but if dash did he had to do it to) dash came to near crashing stop just short of the fence at the place the rabbit went under Brick wall . well he stood there looking very dissappointed and alex just looked confused. when suddenly dash let out this big crying howl and whined like a big baby cryer . i have never seen such a pouty boy. alex just perked his ears and looked very confused Confused at this point. dash just slowly walked accross the yard after that, every few steps looking over his shoulder to see if mr rabbit was back yet. i love my boys, even if they did get out smarted by the rabbit. rolling on floor

The bunnies are out in force here too! I'm hoping they continue to stay a step ahead of my gang. A few weeks ago I heard a rabbit cry (horrible sound) and ran to the door too late to see which of mine had caught him. In the excitement and the mud, Carly and Cruz ended up colliding and falling which allowed it to break free from the jaws of death and escape under the fence on the other side of the yard! I suspect it was Cruz (the galgo) who had him, but it was Carly who got on her feet first and chased him to the fence. Way too close for comfort for me and the bunny!!!

Poor Dash and Alex! Tell them there are a lot more bunnies out there and it's only a matter of time before they will see them before "Dad" does. Maybe the next time ....they'll be the winners.
I've told you my guys have gotten 3 only the last one got eaten. There was no rabbit "crying" it was over too fast. Now...all three go out muzzled everytime. They have chased several of them but I think the muzzle gives the rabbit a slight advantage because they have all gotten under the fence just before Van Gogh crashes into it. Even when the bunnies get away...they all come in all excited like "Hey, Mom, did you see the rabbit we almost caught?" Laughing

We had an owl move into the neighborhood for awhile and the rabbit population has dropped. I haven't seen a rabbit in a few weeks. Come to think of it so has the squirrels.
