Hi fellow greys and their people.
My name is Michael, and my wife Linda and I will be moving down to the Charlotte area from New Jersey shortly. We have two greys, Cairo who is 8, an Budy who is 4. Both were adopted through Greyhound Friends of New Jersey, and both were broken leg dogs.
I've taken a job in Charlotte and have temporarily moved into an apartment here until our house in NJ sells. Linda & the boys are still in NJ for now.
We look forward to meeting other greys and their owners once we settle down here. |

Hello and welcome! We moved here from MA a little over a year ago. Keep your eye on the 'Charlotte' page, and join the group at a monthly dinner sometime! _________________ Karen

Thanks for the warm welcome. Now that the feds have lowered the interest rates again, I hope we get some activity on our house up in New Jersey. I'll be glad when my wfe can move down here to join me. I miss seeing the boys every night when I get home (I miss her too LOL).
Here's a photo of our two....

Well all, its been a long 10 months, but Linda & I finally sold our place in NJ. On Sept 30th, her and Cairo joined me down here in Charlotte. Cairo handled the long car ride surprisingly well and seems to be settling in at the apartment quite nicely. We will start looking for a new home within the next few weeks, but we are also considering building if we don't find anything to our liking.
The only sad note is that my grey Buddy did not make the trip south with us. Buddy started exhibiting some severe behavior issues while I was down here and our vet in NJ (who has several greys) said he was suffering from seperation anxiety. Buddy's original foster mom offered to take him for a bit to see if there was anything she could do to help him. She has many greys and he always enjoyed staying with her when we were traveling. I'm happy to say he is doing much better now and she offered to keep him indefinitely while we get settled down here. I miss him so much, but at least I know he is doing well and is happy once again.
We look forward to meeting you all in the very near future.
Michael |
