Need some help with Milo! He chews everything! When he first came, he would just chew (toys, window panes, etc.) when we left. We muzzled him a few times, but he seemed to grow out of it. So we thought he had settled down. But boy, he's going crazy lately even when we're home! And he steals a lot of things off of counters, so even if we clean up the floors (which is hard with 2 young kids!) he's still taking off of counters. Today, he was actually eating a pocket mirror! Luckily, we caught that one fast. I wonder if he's just bored; we haven't gone for as many walks lately, although he has access many times a day to our backyard. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks. _________________ Karen

Karen, for Milo's safety, you should crate him when you are not home. Even if he doesnt like it.
He could be doing it because he nervous but he could also be doing it because he is board or because he has something hurting him like a tooth.
Either way, he could really get hurt.
I have had to put fosters in the crate, muzzled because of chewing problems. _________________ Debbie |

As everyone knows I have a chewer.......Mem. I put her in her crate when I leave. She ate one of my grandsons toys the other day b/c I didn
't put her in her crate. She will pop a muzzle right off her face and then chew it up. If the other dogs have muzzles on she will try to eat them right off their face. She is a stinker. My spoiled rotten heart dog. _________________ Linda
