At 5:00 am Selma was helped across the Bridge.
Barb Brooks recieved a call from Dr Bolz at the Emergency Vet clinic in Wilmington. Selma had bloat. Given the state of her body, the fractures, the infection, Dr Bolz felt she could not survive surgery and that it would be best to put her to sleep. If the bloat had not occurred, she still would have faced many months of recuperative care.
Barb made the decision to let Selma cross the Bridge. She was with Selma, and held her, and let her know that she was loved. Her broken body is in pain no more.

Run free on your new angel wings Sweet Selma

Selma is in a much better place now.
GFNC gave her a fighting chance but she was just too weak.

Thank you, GFNC Board members, for letting us help Selma - even though she was not a GFNC dog. It shows how you really do care about this breed.

Folks, please honor Selma by contributing donations. We need to refill the bank account as this event caused a big drain on the group finances.

Even though she did not survive, I think she will be eternally grateful to having finally been out of pain during her last days on earth. And that's worth every penny spent.

You can send a donation by check or Paypal and designate it towards Selma's care.
