Greys do not need to SIT for this test, they do need to be in a down position.

If you are registering and have kids, you can bring you kids as they need kids to be playing as part of the test

after the test you can head over to Santa paws to get your newly certified pal's picture taken with Santa!

Thanks Amy and Maddie

Hello All. I am the "competition" for Amy's post about Therapy Dogs International. I am a tester for Therapy Dogs Incorporated. We are an entirely different organization. Both organizations offer registration in pet therapy. Both have the same insurance benefits. See our testing reqirements at

Click on How to Become a Member. I can test new dogs three times a month at my regular pet therapy visits.

If you are interested in pet therapy please get registered with whichever organization that works best for you. I can help you start a new pet therapy group or add you to an existing group.

Thanks Much!
Karen

Maggie-Mae says if her greyhound sister would hurry up and learn what "STAY" means she can be a Therapy Dog too.

Jasmine does not need to stay to be a TDInc dog.
Thumbs up
(and she doesn't need all those nasty shots either for TDInc. )
I am not trying to be negative about this, just want everyone to know each organization has different requirements and the tests are a bit different.
You need to go with the one that fits best with your dog and their abilitys.
check with their website or talk with the tester to see which one your dog will work best with.

Your right that both groups have different requirements so check out both groups before you sign up. For me it is financial, I was going with the same group as Maggie is certified with (TDI) because the second dog is only $5. Best thing is for both groups greyhounds do NOT have to sit! Jasmine will sit but she pops back up so fast it might not even count as a sit. Rolling Eyes

With stay, she follows along beside me and gives me a look of, But Mom I am staying with you. Isn't that what you said to do? Silly girl.
